Xbox Growl style

Here it is my new creation, Xbox growl style.

Some weeks ago I saw this picture in Engadget web page and since then I wanted to create a similar notification style for Growl.

After checking different combinations I finally came up with this Growl style. I have to say that I would like to find a closer font to the one used in the new Xbox dashboard notifications, but I haven't found it yet. Also, I had added a white border around it because whenever the image is dark and your background is dark, it can be difficult to see. Also, I kept the image height and width proportional so it would not be stretched.

By the way if you know what font is used, please let me know. Also, feel free to send me any comments to improve it. I hope you like it!

Please download it here.

Wordictionary iPhone app review

I have been living outside my home country for about 13 years surrounded by languages that are not my mother tongue and that sometimes I don’t even master (Finnish, Swedish, English, Japanese, etc.). There are always times when you would be really happy to have a dictionary in hand and even better, a dictionary where you do not even need to type in the word. This is when Worldictionary iPhone app  from WorldCard comes into the picture. Let’s have a look how.
